Orbit Shift Privacy Policy
NaughtyBear Labs provides Orbit Shift, an arcade game supported by advertising and optional one-time purchases. This policy explains what stays on your device, what our advertising provider processes, and the choices available to you. For privacy questions, contact naughtybearlabs@gmail.com.
Game progress stays on your device
Orbit Shift stores your personal best score, earned and purchased coin balance, unlocked and equipped customisations, and recent ad-frequency information in the app's local storage. We use these records to remember your progress and limit how often full-screen ads appear. We do not upload these game records to a NaughtyBear Labs server or operate a cloud leaderboard.
No account is required. There is no cloud save service. Optional purchases use Google Play Billing. The game does not request access to your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone or personal media. Gameplay works offline; ads, purchases, purchase restoration and online privacy pages require an internet connection.
Optional purchases
Google Play processes payments for coin packs and permanent ad removal. We do not receive or store your card number or bank details. Google handles payment and account information under its own policies. The app receives purchase information such as the product, purchase token, transaction status, quantity and a signed receipt. It stores the information needed on your device to deliver purchases, prevent duplicate coin grants and restore ad removal. Google Play receives requests to check purchases and confirm delivery. We do not send purchase receipts to a NaughtyBear Labs server.
Coin packs are consumable: once delivered, their balance and any customisations bought with them are saved only on that device. Uninstalling the app, clearing its storage or changing devices loses this progress; delivered coin packs cannot be restored. Permanent ad removal can be restored using the same Google Play account. Removing ads stops future banner and full-screen ad requests while the entitlement is active; it does not delete information already processed by Google. Refunds and payment history are managed through Google Play.
Advertising and Google's services
We use Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK) for result-screen banners and occasional full-screen ads between runs. Google processes advertising-related information, including your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), app and ad interactions, diagnostics and device or other identifiers. Depending on device settings and the applicable ad treatment, identifiers can include the Android advertising ID and app set ID.
Google uses this information to provide and measure ads, analyse service performance and prevent fraud. These services can process and share information with advertising partners under their own policies. We have not added a separate app analytics or crash-reporting service; Google's advertising SDK still performs its own measurement and diagnostics.
We use Google's User Messaging Platform to manage applicable advertising consent and privacy choices. Ad personalisation and the information used for ads depend on your location, choices, device settings and Google's requirements. Ads may still involve data processing when they are not personalised.
Read Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Your advertising choices
Where required, the app displays Google's consent message before requesting ads that require consent. When regional privacy options are available, use Ad privacy choices in the game's footer to revisit them. You can also use your Android device's advertising settings to reset or delete its advertising ID, and Google My Ad Center for available Google advertising controls.
Closing a result-screen banner hides that banner; it does not withdraw consent or erase information already processed. You can continue playing without an internet connection.
Sharing a score and contacting us
If you choose Share score, the app passes the score text to the sharing app you select. That service handles the information under its own privacy policy. Orbit Shift does not read your contacts or send messages automatically.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use this information to answer your request and resolve support issues. Please do not send passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Retention, deletion and security
Game records stay on your device until you clear Orbit Shift's app storage or uninstall the app. Doing so removes your local progress, remaining coins, customisations and local purchase records. Google may retain its own transaction records. There is no Orbit Shift account to delete, and we cannot restore local progress from a server.
We retain support correspondence only for as long as needed to respond, resolve issues and meet applicable legal obligations. Email us to request access to or deletion of information we control. Google determines retention of the information it processes under its own policies; clearing the game does not necessarily delete Google's records. See Google's data-retention information.
Google's advertising SDK encrypts its network traffic using TLS. Local game records are stored within the app's storage, and the app disables Android backup of that storage. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children and privacy rights
Orbit Shift is intended for people aged 16 and over and is not directed at children under 16. We do not ask players to provide a name, date of birth or other profile information. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us so we can investigate and remove information we control where appropriate.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information, object to certain uses, withdraw consent, or complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us about information held by NaughtyBear Labs, and use Google's privacy controls or contact Google for requests about information it controls. Withdrawing consent does not change the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.
International processing and website visits
Google and our email provider may process information in countries other than your own. Their policies explain the safeguards used for international processing. The public copy of this policy is hosted by Vercel, which processes normal web-request information to deliver and protect the page. The NaughtyBear Labs website policy explains the wider website's practices.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when the game or its data practices change. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice or consent required by applicable law.
